British blame cycling disappointment on lazy foreigners
Team GB’s lack of medals in the men’s road race this afternoon was instantaneously blamed on a worryingly large amount of lazy foreigners who showed no intention of doing a decent day’s work in the peloton.
It was left down to hard-working British chaps such as Bradley Wiggins to drag the main field up to the breakaway group, but such was the laziness of the other nations’ teams (probably only here to take advantage of the welfare system) that the gap could not be closed.
This unfortunate illustration of the chilling spectre of immigration sets the country up perfectly for the rest of the Games, as from now on they can blame foreigners for being better than the British.
Miffed spectator Tom confirmed, “The foreign laddies barely broke a sweat.
“They come over here taking our jobs and living off the efforts of British lads wearing big helmets and skin-tight racing outfits.”
