Rehearsal mayhem

Carnage has broken out in London this morning as the ridiculous media coverage of the Olympic torch relay rehearsals resulted in tens of thousands of people joining in along a 26-mile stretch of the capital.

Live broadcasting on the BBC added to the chaos as everyone knew about the rehearsal taking place, despite the vast majority not having the slightest interest in any of it.

Sebastian Coe said, “We’re delighted with the turnout although I’m frustrated that we can’t charge any of them for coming.

“I’ve been told there’s a lot of money involved but apparently most of it’s being given to charity.

“It’ll be a very different story when the actual Olympics start, I can assure you!”
