Vettel stuns F1 by turning even pre-season testing into procession
World champion Sebastian Vettel has left F1 reeling by starting the procession before the first Grand Prix has got under way.
The German finished comfortably in front of everyone else to leave people to start wondering about possibilities of a different outcome in 2013.
Martin Brundle’s blog conceded, “Vettel is beginning to surpass even Michael Schumacher in terms of how quickly he can cause people to lose interest in an F1 season.
“All that’s left for us to discover in 2012 is exactly how much one man can dominate a sport.”

Christ, I stopped following F1 back after the Damon Hill days. Not because of him but because I got bored of it.
I just want to know if a Brit wins or not, the rest can poo off.
Everyone talks about Hamilton but I think Button was doing quite a bit better last season. One to watch.
Too soon to concede the Championship just yet surely? Overall, the McLaren wasn’t too far off the Red Bull over race distances last year, but circumstances and the approaches of the two drivers (too cautious and too the opposite of cautions) worked against them. I suspect Vettal might look less invincible in a closer fight.
We’ll see but Vettel’s domination last season was fairly complete – would need significant turnaround.
